Dropme

Effective 19 September 2026 for web, Android, and iOS Dropme services.

Account and data deletion policy

This policy explains personal data Dropme collects on websites and apps, how we use it, and how you can delete some or all of it. It covers riders, drivers, delivery partners, businesses, and guests. Read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Scope and platforms

This policy covers personal data processed by Intellygen Inc. when you use Dropme products. It is written so Google, app stores, and users can see what we collect, why we collect it, and how deletion works.

Who this covers

It applies if you create an account, start an application, or use Dropme without an account as a guest rider or order recipient.

User roles

  • Riders who book trips or deliveries on the website or in a Dropme app.
  • Drivers and delivery partners who apply, go online, or complete trips in the Driver app or driver website.
  • Businesses that manage restaurants, pharmacies, stores, or corporate ride accounts.
  • Guest users who receive a trip or delivery booked by someone else.

Platforms covered

  • dropme.cm websites, including rider, driver, business, and account pages.
  • The Dropme Driver Android app and any later Dropme rider or business Android apps.
  • Any Dropme iOS app that uses the same Dropme accounts and servers.

The same Dropme account can be used on web and apps. A deletion request covers that account on every platform, not only the device you used to ask.

Collected data

We collect only what we need to run rides, deliveries, payments, safety, and support. The exact fields depend on your role and what you choose to provide. Categories below cover both web and app unless a line says otherwise.

Account and profile

Collected when you sign up, update settings, or verify your identity:

  • Full name and preferred display name
  • Email address and phone number
  • Password hash, session tokens, and sign-in method
  • Profile photo if you upload one
  • City, country, and language preference
  • Account role such as rider, driver, or business
  • Emergency contact details if you add them

Identity and driver documents

Collected mainly for driver and delivery applications on web and in the Driver app:

  • Photos or files of a government ID
  • Driver licence photo and licence details
  • Vehicle registration, make, model, year, color, and plate
  • Proof of insurance
  • Selfie or in-app photo used to match your ID
  • Background or screening status where the law allows

Trip, order, and location data

Collected when you request, accept, or complete a trip or delivery:

  • Pickup, drop-off, and saved places
  • Route, distance, duration, and fare estimate
  • Trip and order history, including status and timestamps
  • Live location while you are online, on a trip, or tracking a ride. Apps collect this only after you grant location permission.
  • Map search text and geocoded addresses

Payments, wallet, and payouts

Collected to charge riders and pay drivers or businesses:

  • Payment method tokens or mobile money identifiers. Card numbers are handled by payment partners, not stored in full on Dropme servers.
  • Wallet balance, DropFunds activity, and cash-out requests
  • Trip fares, tips, fees, commissions, and refunds
  • Payout account name, number, or mobile money number
  • Receipts and earnings records

Messages, ratings, and support

  • In-app trip or delivery chat
  • Ratings and written reviews you give or receive
  • Support tickets, incident reports, and attachments
  • Survey answers and in-app feedback

Device, app, and website data

Collected automatically to keep the service working and secure:

  • App version, operating system, device model, and language. Apps only.
  • Browser type, pages viewed, and cookie or local storage IDs. Web only.
  • IP address and approximate network location
  • Crash logs and performance data
  • Push notification token if you allow notifications. Apps only.

Business and merchant data

  • Business name, address, hours, and contact people
  • Menus, products, prices, and photos
  • Customer orders, delivery assignments, and order chat
  • Staff or store accounts you create

Where data comes from

  • You, when you type, upload, or grant a permission.
  • Your phone or browser, when the app or site is in use.
  • Other users, such as a rating after a trip.
  • Service partners, such as maps, payments, or cloud storage.

How we use data

We use personal data for the purposes below. We do not sell your personal data.

Provide the service

  • Create and keep your account signed in on web and apps
  • Match riders with nearby drivers or assign delivery partners
  • Show maps, routes, pickup points, and live tracking
  • Process fares, refunds, tips, wallet moves, and payouts
  • Send trip, order, and account messages

Safety, fraud, and quality

  • Verify driver identity and vehicle documents
  • Detect fake accounts, payment abuse, and unsafe use
  • Handle SOS events, reports, and disputes
  • Use ratings to protect riders and drivers

Customer support

We use account, trip, and message history to answer you, fix errors, and investigate claims.

Legal and finance

We keep records needed for tax, accounting, insurance, regulators, and court or police requests that the law requires us to meet.

Improve Dropme

We use aggregated or limited usage data to fix bugs, improve matching, and understand which features work. We do not use your precise live location for advertising.

Marketing

We may send service news or offers if you have not opted out. You can stop promotional email or SMS. We may still send account or trip messages.

Types of deletion requests

You can ask us to delete all personal data we can legally remove, or only some categories. Say which type you want in your request.

Full account deletion

We close your Dropme account on web and every app. You will not be able to sign in. We delete or irreversibly anonymize personal data that we are not required to keep. This is the request Google Play means by account deletion.

Partial data deletion

You keep the account and ask us to remove specific items. Examples include a profile photo, saved places, a payment method, marketing contact details, optional documents, or support attachments that are not required for an open case.

What a partial request cannot remove while the account stays open

  • An active trip, order, or payout in progress
  • Records we must keep for tax, safety, or law
  • A review already shown to another user, though we can detach it from your name where possible

How to request deletion

There is no fee. You can request deletion from any country where you use Dropme. We accept requests from the account owner or a person who can prove they act for that owner.

Request by email

Send an email to privacy@dropme.cm. Use the subject Account deletion request or Data deletion request.

What to include

  • The full name on the account
  • The email and phone number on the account
  • Whether you are a rider, driver, delivery partner, or business
  • Your city or country of use
  • Whether you want full account deletion or a partial request
  • For a partial request, list the data you want removed
  • A short note that you own the account. We may ask one more check, such as a code to your phone or email.

Other ways to ask

  • Use the Contact page on dropme.cm and choose a privacy or account topic.
  • Open Support in the Driver app or in your signed-in web account and ask for deletion. Our team routes it to the same privacy queue.
  • In the Driver app, open Settings, then Delete account. On the website, open Settings, then Delete account. You can still email us if you prefer.

Who may request

  • The account owner.
  • A representative with proof of authority, such as a legal mandate.
  • A parent or guardian for an account that should not have been opened by a minor.

What we delete

After we verify you and finish any required hold, a full account deletion removes or anonymizes the items below from Dropme systems we control.

  • Profile fields, photo, and sign-in credentials so the account cannot be used again
  • Saved places, notification tokens, and marketing lists
  • Driver document files we no longer need for a legal hold
  • Trip chats and support threads that are not part of an open legal case
  • App and web sessions, so old devices are signed out

Some operational records are kept only in a form that no longer identifies you, such as a trip count used for city planning. That is not personal data after anonymization.

What we keep and why

Google and privacy law allow us to keep some data when we have a clear legal or safety need. We do not keep it for marketing. We restrict access and delete it when the reason ends.

Retention after a deletion request

DataKept forWhy
Fares, payouts, invoices, and wallet ledgersUp to 7 yearsTax, accounting, and payment dispute rules in Cameroon and other markets we serve
Driver identity and screening recordsUp to 7 years, or the period local transport rules requireSafety, fraud prevention, and regulator or insurer requests
Accident, SOS, or abuse reportsUntil the case and any related claim is closed, then as the law requiresSafety of riders and drivers, and legal defense
Data subject to a police, court, or regulator holdUntil the hold endsWe must not destroy evidence the law tells us to keep
Limited security logs such as IP and device used to sign inUp to 12 months, longer if an investigation is openStop repeat fraud on deleted accounts

Payment partners, banks, and mobile money operators may keep their own copies under their legal duties. We ask them to delete Dropme-held tokens we control. We cannot erase a bank's regulatory archive.

Review timeline

We acknowledge a complete request within 5 business days.

We may take a few more days to confirm you own the account. If we cannot verify you, we will say so and will not delete another person's account.

We complete deletion or explain a legal hold within 30 days after verification. If a hold applies, we delete everything not covered by that hold and tell you what remains and when we expect to remove it.

We send the result to the email used in the request.

After deletion

You cannot sign in to the deleted account on web or any app.

You lose access to trip history, earnings, and saved places in that account.

A wallet or payout balance must be settled before we close the account. If a small leftover cannot be paid out, we follow finance rules and then close the account.

You may create a new Dropme account later. Safety or fraud limits may block a new driver application if the law or our safety rules require it.

Backup copies can take a short extra period to roll off. They are not used to rebuild your profile.

When deletion can wait

We pause full deletion only for a clear reason. We tell you the reason and what you can do.

  • You have an active trip, delivery, or unpaid fare
  • A payout or refund is still processing
  • There is an open claim, chargeback, or safety case
  • The account has a credit or debt we must settle first
  • A lawful request requires us to keep the file

When the reason ends, we finish deletion without asking you to start over, unless your contact details have changed.

Third party processors

Dropme uses processors to run the product. A deletion request covers data we stored with them for your account, subject to the same legal exceptions.

  • Cloud database and authentication providers that host accounts
  • Map and location providers used to show routes
  • Image hosts used for photos and documents
  • Payment and mobile money partners
  • Email and SMS providers that send codes and notices

Google Play or Apple may keep their own install or purchase records. Those are outside Dropme. Use the store account tools for that data.
